Lower Anxiety, Manage Mood, Feel Good Again

My approach to psychotherapy is customized for each individual client’s personal needs and goals. Sometimes the work may incorporate cognitive behavioral work focused on identifying and reframing unhelpful patterns of thinking. To support improved emotional regulation I often integrate DBT style coping skills including mindfulness and distress tolerance.

I value client feedback and believe that a solid client/therapist relationship is the most powerful element in therapeutic growth. I always want to know what’s worked well for you in the past as well as new approaches you may be interested in trying.

As painful emotions come up in a session, you may occasionally feel worse afterwards. This is normal and to be expected as you experience a different level of emotional vulnerability. If you find that negative feelings are persisting between sessions, I can provide emotional grounding and coping skills activities that may be helpful.
